Change Up the Cardstock Colors for a New Look

 Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock. There is a new assortment of colored cardstock in town and I love the colors! Leesebo Cardstock is the new line with a gorgeous array of colors. Tim Holtz and Sizzix released a new block die set for the holidays called Holiday Blocks! I challenged myself to use this new die set with the Lessebo Cardstock to create a Valentines card!

Cut the Colored Cardstock Elements

As you can see, this set has many different size and shapes dies. Begin by cutting a variety of shapes and sizes using different colors of Lessebo Cardstock such as Brick Orange, Sunset, Bubblegum, and Blossom. Additional colors that work well include Bazill Peach, DCS Flamingo, PopTone Razzleberry and for contrast Pewter Cardstock. Stardream Metallic Silver is a great accent for some of the smaller embellishments and the sentiment.

Design Your Cards

Once you have all the colors cut out, start arranging them to cover an A2 Card panel. Just have fun with moving the different shapes around until you are happy with the results. The set comes with some larger blocks that are perfect to start with. Once you have covered the base, add the different shapes on top. You can also add some Glossy Accents to the top of the hearts to make them pop.

Once you are happy with the arrangement, glue all the pieces in place. Allow to dry and attach the panel to an A2 card base. I make all of my card bases using an 8.5 x 11 sheet of 100 lb. White Cougar Cardstock. So easy to slice in 2 and score. Great activity for a day you have no MoJo!
