Three Unique Snowflake Cards

Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock. As the holidays are winding down, I hope your days are filled with quiet inspiration and creatvity! I am here to share three unique snowflake cards all made with SimonSaysStamps Shimmer Snowflake die and Hero Arts Snowflake Bundle.

Snowflake Shaker Card

Use Altenew’s Layered Snowflake Embossing folder to create the base using Cougar 100 lb. White Cardstock. Prior to embossing, run Tumbled Glass Distress Ink Pad over the flat side of the folder to color the background. Emboss an A2 card base. Die cut the snowflake in the center of the card and set the snowflake aside for the next card. Die cut another snowflake using White Cougar Cardstock. Attach the blue background to a card base just slightly smaller than A2 size. Glue the white snowflake in the center.

Use the Full Front Shaker Pocket from This Calls for Confetti to create the shaker section. Once you have attached three sides of the shaker pocket to the snowflake base, add sequins to the open flap and seal. Use red tape to attach to the A2 Card base. Die cut two sentiments from Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock. Glue together and attach to the front of the shaker card.

Snowflake Card

This card started with a leftover snowflake created as I used the snowflakes as masks using Mica Sprays. I designed the card around that snowflake. Emboss a piece of Cougar White 100 lb. cardstock with Altenew’s Layered Snowflake Embossing Folder. After embossing, use a brayer to add Distress Oxide ink in a coordinating color to the raised areas on the cardstock.

Create the sentiment by stamping and ink smooshing a small label.

Embossed Pieced Card

Using an A2 size piece of Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock, ink smoosh by pressing your distress ink pads on a craft mat and spritzing with water. Dip the cardstock in the inks drying between each dip. Emboss the Heros Arts Smowflakes in white in the card base once dry.

Die cut the snowflake and piece the diecut from the shaker card along with the card base on an A2 Card. Add a sentiment and you are good to go!
