Get Two Cards from One Image!

Thrilled to be participating in Altenew's July Marvelous Monthly Video Hop + Giveaway this week. The hop starts hereThe new Build a Garden Sweet Lilies is so large, it can cover a SlimLine Card or make two cards from one image! Read on to see how I created a variety of colorful cards using this amazing new set! My hop video with two additional cards is linked below. Check out the hop and enter to win by making comments on all of the videos.

What a colorful variety of cards from the bold and bright to soft and muted. Lots of different background ideas as well!
Let's start with the two for one cards! I have three unique sets to share!

I won't go into details on this set as I have a video on this one! Link HERE.

The second set is muted and soft.

The two cards are lined up so you can see how large the image is and that it is large enough to be trimmed into two card fronts.

Start by stamping the image in embossing ink and heat embossing in silver on a 5.5 x 8.5 inch white cardstock. Use the coordinating stencils to ink blend the images using Fresh Lemon, Maple Yellow, Rouge, Firebrick and Pink Pearl Inks for the blooms. Shadow Creek and Green Field are great green inks for the leaves.

Trim the two panels by selecting a center cut first and then trimming the panels to 3.75 x 5.0 inches. Use the Halftone Stencil with Pink Pearl Ink to ink blend a background. Be careful not to ink blend over the blooms.

The Halftone Stencil at an angle with the Pink Pearl Ink offers a twist on the first card.

Use a silver acryllic paint to splatter on the inked floral panel and mount the panels on pink cardstock cut to 4.0 x 5.25. Attach to an A2 cardbases.

The stamp set has a great variety of sentiments. The Hugs and Sending Sentiments are perfect for heat embossing in silver. On the second card I added a silver embossed sentiment from the Sentiments Stamp 3 set.

The next set uses the die to cut the images for two colorful cards.

Black heat emboss the floral bloom on a 5.5 x 8.5 inch piece of white cardstock using Obsidian Black Ink and Clear Embossing powder.

These bright orange pink floral spray was created with Pinkilicious and Snap Dragon Inks. I love the combo on the larger lilies! Green Field and Shadow Creek were used for the leaves.

Die cut the floral bloom using the die cut and decide where you want to trim it for the two cards.

Use the Modern Square 3D Embossing Folder to emboss two 4 x 5.25 inch pieces of white cardstock. Use the Pinkalicious and Snap Dragon Ink pads to add color to the embossed panels by runnng them over the top of the panels. Glue the images to the colored embossed panels and attach to an A2 Cardbase. Black Splatters made the black outline pop!

Hugs from the set is Black heat embossed. An additional sentiment from the One Go Birthday set finishes the card.

The Sending Sentiment is black heat embossed and paired with a sentiment from the Sentiment Strip Set 3.

Check out how the pink and orange blend for a different color Lily!

Let's do a Slimline Card next!

I am a cool color girl, so these turquoise and purple shades are my groove!

This image was stamped with Embossing Ink and embossed with Gold for a rich look! Ink colors include Deep Iris, Aqualicious, Dew Drop, Firefly and Grass Field.

Check out the blending of the colors on the larger floral blooms!  Die cut the blooms.

The white cardstock base is 4 x 9.25 inches. Trim a medium purple cardstock to 3.5 x 8.75 inches.

Select a geometric embossing folder so you can emboss the entire background. The Wicker Texture 3D Folder is perfect! Line the 3.5 inch edge with the top of the embossing image. Run through your machine. Rotate the panel and line up to emboss the lower half only to the embossed edge.

Attach the purple panel to the card base and add the floral Blooms. Gold Acrylic Paint Splatters add bling. The Sending Hugs from the set is Gold Embossed and layered for dimension.

Last up is the rainbow Mini Slimline card!

This time, the image is heat embossed in White. Select a rainbow of colors to ink blend the image. I used Fresh Lemon, Marigold, Raffleberry, Parrot, Tide Blue and Deep Iris. Die cut the image.

Prepare the background panel. I use 7 x 6.25 inch cardstock for my mini slimlines, scored at 3.5 inches. Trim white cardstock to 3.25 x 5.75 inches. Emboss with the Wicker Texture 3 D folder and attach to the card base.

Trim the die cut in half. Follow the colors in the die cut and splatter the wicker base with coordinating colors. Attach the die cuts in opposite corers. White heat emboss Sending Hugs and ink blend in rainbow colors. Add another die cut layer for dimension.
