December 2022 Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello friends. I am so excited to be Guest Designing for the Altenew December 2022  Marvelous Monthly Release! You should have arrived from Emily Midgett's blog. The entire hop starts here

Check out all these gorgeous florals. This is why I love Altenew products!

Let's start with the gorgeous Craft A Flower Water Lily Die set.

Look at all these gorgeous layers! I started by cutting the layers out of a 5.5 x 8.5 inch piece of white cardstock. I used several ink colors to ink blend the individual pieces. I leave them in the base so I have more stability in blending. Colors for the lily pad are Shadow Creek and Mountain Pine. Colors for the lily are Sea Breeze, Tide Blue, Turquoise, Dusk, Aqualicious and Dew Drops. Orange Cream and Snapdragon added the pop for the stamen.

Altenew's keyhole system makes it so easy to line up the pieces! They even have numbers on them, so by following the colored guide, it is so easy to assemble. I glued all the individual pieces together and set aside.

The Ribbon Waves 3D Embossing Folder provided the perfect base for the Lilly. I first cut a circle opening and then ran the panel through my die cutting machine in the folder. A few swipes of the Turquoise Mini Ink pad accentuate the waves.

I also die cut a circle in a piece of white Fun Foam to pop the wave piece. After attaching the foam to the wave base, I attached it to an A2 Card base. I added Dimensional Foam Tape in the center of the bloom and glued the edges on top of the opening. The sentiment is included in the set and was cut with black cardstock.  A few sequin blings complete the look!

Next up is the Ambridge Rose Bundle. This set includes the stamps, dies, stencils and embossing folder!

I love purple so I decided to use purple tones to create four unique cards. I used the same inks for all four cards: Hydrangea, Wisteria and Ultraviolet from the Enchanted Garden set, Soft Lilac, Lavender Field and Deep Iris from the Shades of Purple set for the blooms and Just Green and Sweet Leaf for the leaves.

How about some gorgeous Watercolor Flowers? This new Craft Your Life set is gorgeous!

I stamped the image using the lightest color in the Natures Wonder Ink set so I would have outlines to work with. I then used the stencils to line up and ink blend the colors with Golden SunsetTea Party and Natures Wonder Ink sets.

I have a YouTube video here (https://youtu.be/GeK4Bg82wlg) contrasting two techniques inked stencils and watercolor.

I am spotlighting the second card that uses 36 Pan Watercolors from Altenew. Love the variety of colors. The watercolors allow you to mix your own colors.

I started by embossing the folder onto watercolor paper and using a variety of watercolors to embellish the image.

After trimming the watercolor paper, I mounted it on a coordinating cardstock base and stamped the sentiments in Black Obsidian ink.

The new Build a Garden Rosa Gallica is another gorgeous set.

I created an A2 plus a Slimline card! Check out the video (https://youtu.be/_KxwQimxcL8) here:

Last set up is the Gorgeous Lotus Flower set! This reminds me of Art Deco!

I made 3 unique cards with this set. You can see the complete deets on my blog post HERE

I used the Beach Garden Alcohol Markers to color this Deco Frame. Love the Orange and Blue combo!
