Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Camellia Waterhouse Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hi friends. How are you all today? I am always in the Spring mood and this gorgeous outline flower release from Altenew is perfect for springy cards! I love this large bloom and have three different card techniques to share today.

I am hoping along with many friends today for Altenew. You should have arrived here from Jaycee's blog. If you get lost along the way, the hop starts here on the Altenew Blog.

The first card is a slimline card and features painting with Re-inkers.

I am hooked on slimline cards with large sentiment dies. Check out all the layers beginning with the grey base followed by the frame created with the Nesting Slimline Label Die.

The image is embossed in gold. After painting, the blooms are fussy cut and applied to the card front, followed by the sentiment.

My You Tube documents the process. If the video is not showing up, the link is Here.

The next card is a Mini Slimline and uses the Loose Water-coloring Technique.

I love how the embossing creates the detail image over a wash of color! It started on watercolor paper with an image stamped in light ink. After color washing with the Tropical xxx Watercolor Marker Inks and when completely dry, the same image was stamped and white heat embossed. The trick is to make sure you push the paper into the corner of your stamping platform and leave the stamp in place for both stampings.

Check out the video here for both this card plus an ink smooshed background card.

The final card uses the ink smooshing technique (one of my favorites). You can find the deets in the video just above.

Love the bright organic background created with Altenew Inks on a craft mat.

After the image was completely dry, I stamped the image with Black Obsidian Ink. I die cut and layered the Hello sentiment and added the sentiment with white heat embossing.
