Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Greeting Crafty Friends! I am posting this gorgeous Build A Flower set from Altenew today as part of the new release. I had so much fun with this Queen of the Lillies set.  You can save by signing up for the subscription Here. I got carried away and ended up making 4 cards! We have a blog hop with prizes for you today. Check the hop out HERE.

Want to add a rare royal touch to your projects? Well You're in luck! This stamp set features 8 layers to create gorgeously detailed Queen of the Lilies flowers You will also find an outline layer, a full-color layer, and a color shading layer for beautiful stamping possibilities. Stamp one of the sweet sentiments to finish your card or layout.

This is a gorgeous set! Let's start with the dark background cards. I'd been wanting to try darker backgrounds and decided this bright set presented the perfect opportunity!

When I have layered stamping projects, I chose my colors first and then move on to stamping multiple images in different colors using my Misti. After all the stamping was done, I used the coordinating die to cut the flowers and leaves.

Loving the layers on this card. The dark blue base is embossed with Altenew's Organic Linen 3D folder and swiped with Altenew's Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink.

Additional texture was added by cutting the Burlap Texture Die in Gold cardstock.

I added a single lily and leaves to the center of the burlap piece. The flower is stamped with multiple inks including the Obsidian Black InkGolden Sunset Mini Cube set and the Green Meadows Mini Ink set.

The sentiment is cut from the gold and dark blue cardstock using the Hello and Hugs Stamp and Die Bundle. I think this set may be one of my favorites!

Here is the next card using a dark background.

The background is embossed using the Mod Squares 3 D folder. I know you really can't see it in the phots, but it adds a lovey texture to the background.

This lily is stamped using the gorgeous Cherry Blossom Mini Ink Cube set along with the Green Meadows set. Mounted on a sparkly die cut frame from the Crystal Frames Die set, this bright lily really stands out.

The Miss You Die was cut from the same silver sparkle paper. Once assembled, the entire piece was attached to an A2 110 lb Cougar Cardbase.

Still working with a dark background, although a little smaller, we will move onto this fun card.
The Cherry Blossom Mini Ink Cube set and The Green Meadows Mini Ink set were used for the main flower. I used the Pink Diamond ink to stamp the outline stamp on a piece of Cougar 80 lb cardstock, beginning at the center and working my way out to get good coverage.

The smaller black panel is embossed using the Antique Linen 3D Embossing folder, popped up with a few pieces of cardstock. The sentiment from the stamp set is heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock and added to the black panel.

The last card includes three of the blooms along with an embossed sentiment from the stamp set on a vellum strip.

Check out the texture on this fun layered card! The base is a piece of Cougar 80 lb paper embossed with the gorgeous Garden Harmony 3D embossing folder, swiped with Sweet Leaf ink from the Green Meadows Mini Ink set. I love how the two layers of the leaves pick up the ink differently.

The blooms are inked with Morning Frost, Warm Sunshine, Vanilla Cream and Autumn Blaze inks. I have linked to the matching mini cube sets.

I found a piece of green cardstock matching the greens used for the leaves and trimmed the embossed piece so a small portion of the green peaks out. I layered the florals form top left to lower right, added the leaves and the sentiment strip. The center bloom is popped up with foam tape.
