Glitzy Holiday Ornaments

 Hello friends. I am posting these fun holiday cards for the challenge for A Blog Named Hero. The challenge theme this month is Glitz. I actually began by creating the shaker card, but ended up with the extra pieces on my table that were calling to be made into a card.

I started the process by heat embossing the Holiday Florals Bold stamp on Cougar Cardstock using Rustic Wilderness Distress ink and Clear Embossing powder. I then stamped a second set using Versamark ink and White embossing powder on a piece of dark green cardstock from my stash.

I cut the Wish Ornament Fancy Die using some glittery silver cardstock from my stash. At this point, I set off to make a shaker card. I glued the ornament to a piece of clear acetate packaging and set aside. I measured the circle and cut a matching one from the green cardstock using the Infinity Nesting Circle Dies. I also needed an outline green die to make the silver sparkle pop off the page. I cut this circle with additionsl dies, taped together.  

Two adhesive foam circles cut using the taped circle dies were stacked on the back of the glittery ornament. I added confetti sequins from my stash and coved with a second piece of package acetate.

I trimmed the white embossed cardstock to allow a small border on the dark green base. I attached the green circle first, and then added the ornament shaker followed by the bow and hanger.

As I mentioned earlier, I had the extra pieces on my table and decided I could make a two-fer!

Had I planned ahead, I would have cut the green circle a little more centrally, but at least it was in the middle of the cardstock. I attached the green cardstock to an A2 white base.

I centered the left over glitter paper in the opening, attached the bow and hanger and the card was complete!
