Layered Heart Card

Hello friends! I am here today playing in the Valentines Hop sponsored by CutCardStock! The hop begins on the CutCardstock.blog - https://cutcardstock.blog/2021/01/26/cutcardstocks-valentines-day-blog-hop/

I hope you enjoy my version of a heart filled layered truck card! Learn about how you could win a $40.00 gift card to CutCardStock at the end of this post!

It all started with a smooshed ink piece of Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock. This cardstock works very well for ink smooshing and some loose watercolor techniques!

Here are some of the pieces I used to construct this cute card!

I love this background die from Sizzix. It cuts heart confetti as well as a cute backdrop for cards!
I cut the heart die with 80 lb Cougar cardstock and popped out all the hearts (I keep the hearts for later use). I mounted the white pie Curious Metallic Red Lacquer Cardstock. It is hard to catch the shine in photos, but I love the glimmer created with this speciality piece!

I glued the Love sentiment onto 2 additional diecuts for dimension. A white heat embossed sentiment strip adds a pop.

I embellished the truck using Pop-tone Black Licorice, Stardream Metallic Neptune for the bumper and Silk Glitter Opulent Opal for the lights.

Check out the video to see the process!

Once the truck was completed, I filled it with additional hearts from the background die plus a few larger ones. A spot of white ink using the Uniball White Pen adds interest!
